1. Daily View Of Guests
From a request, a member wanted to have a daily display showing (a) arrivals (b) departures (c) other guests present.
To view this daily 'snapshot'; from the "Main Menu", click on [Bookings And Availability] → [Daily View]. I hope it is simple to see how to move through the dates.
2. How to ask for Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA)
From a member request, you can now request a guest inserts an estimated time of arrival when they are making a reservation. As always, there are a few extras thrown in which I believe you will be pleased with.
- Initial set up
From the "Main Menu", click on [Edit Your Booking Areas] → [Business] → and view the [Options] tab.
In this area, the range of arrival times is set, between 7:00am and 11:45pm.
Thereafter, the ETA options are set at "Guest Arrival Time Option" value:
- Not Applicable (The default option)
- Optional
- Required
Please note the differences. The basic question that deliberated over was; at the time of booking, would a proposed guest know / have some understanding of their time of arrival at that time? This leads to the ultimate question; "Would it put them off from making the request?" If you have any helpful comments, we are always happy to receive them.
- Guest inserting ETA and map link to show estimated distance/time for journey
After the guest has chosen the date, room and inserted their details, the guest reviews the information, insert any additional comments. Also, if 'Optional' or 'Required' have been chosen, an additional field is displayed allowing the guest to choose their ETA. As they may be unsure, there is the "Click to view your route" link which will show the guests journey via a map with the estimated distance/time.
- Changing ETA of a guest reservation
When a reservation is initially received (ie, before being accepted), the ETA is displayed by the arrival date.
When a reservation has been accepted, the ETA can be changed (displayed by the arrival date).
- Additional Information: Daily View Of Guests
From its use, adding ETA to the 'Daily View Of Guests' gives a good 'snapshot' of the present guests

4. A customer says that his/her credit card was not accepted. What went wrong? Is Bookings4-u not working?
The Bookings4-u process of accepting reservations does not check with banks or credit card companies to see if the card number given is actually associated with a good account. It simply checks to see if the number matches the expected format. Having reviewed several queries on this matter, at this time - 2024, only user input errors have been found. If you confirm the number you have passes your checks but does is not valid in the URL below, we will gladly complete more tests and revise the 'credit card' module.
A 'like' credit card checker can be used via :

6. Multiple Night Discounts - How do they work?
Multiple night discounts allow you to 'reward' any guest for booking more nights. For example :
(a) 2 night(s) per person Adult = £0.25 Chuild = £0.25 Single Occ. = £0.25
(b) 3 night(s) per person Adult = £0.50 Chuild = £0.50 Single Occ. = £0.50
(c) 4 night(s) per person Adult = £1.00 Chuild = £1.00 Single Occ. = £1.00
From above, an adult person booking 3 nights would benefit from a £0.50 discount per night; £1.50 in total.
Please note that a 5 or 6 night stay would also benefit from the £1.00 three night discount
Therefore, each multiple night discount could be said to be contiguous.
